Bone Hunting is Awesome
Went on a bone hunting the other day with
tyerva-sama and we found some pretty great stuff!
She found a llama skull and mandible, her first found bones! xD
I found a partial cat skeleton (this is the first cat I've found, they seem to be hard to find for some reason?) and some misc. dog bones (from dogs I had already taken the skulls from). Also on the way back home I picked up a nice roadkill skunk! I'm really hoping to get the whole skeleton from this guy to articulate. <3
I'm debating though, whether I want to put him in a bag to let nature decompose it, or if I want to just toss the whole thing into a bucket to macerate. I'm not totally sure which way would be easier/quicker.
So have any of you had adventures in bone collecting lately? C:

Aw you live in one of those states? That suucks. Honestly, if you're only picking up small roadkill (not deer and such) I think there is very little chance of you getting in trouble for it.
How difficult is it to get a permit?
Beaver skulls are surprisingly huge. I just got my first one last week, and it's massive! Ewww, I have a nest of spiders in one of my cow skulls, I'm afraid to even touch it. D:
