Did you make it the 3DS XL? (I think that's what they called it.)

Either way, there's a few nice games on it. But, I am wondering if their WiiU iPad imitation is going to become the next big thing with the Big N and they leave the 3DS behind or if they'll do the smart thing and keep the 3DS going...slow and steady.

My guess is that since they both came out the same year, they'll keep the 3DS going a big since there aren't a lot of games for it yet. But Eventually it'll slow like the Wii did when they brought out the 3ds.

It's just that I've seen Nintendo do quick minded changes, like this. Perhaps, the latest one was to release the super sized model of the 3DS, which instantly outdates the second stick upgrade that was released, just weeks before. They'll make accessories that are soon outdated by newer hardware designs and have been doing so, since the NES days. (That I am aware of.) I also am aware that the Big N is planning on cutting back on the whole 3D aspect of future 3DS games. So, I am hoping that they keep supporting the 3DS. And, as of yet, they haven't made a flash decision to bury the 3DS, like they did with the Virtual Boy. (Seriously...had games that were rushed to market to sit on shelves for days...to hours before the whole line was shoved into garbage cans.)

It's a great system. I carry mine around, all the time. That StreetPass is an interesting function. Have no idea how many thousands of these play coins that I've racked up. However, I own most of the best titles for it and it all rides inside a photographer's lens case. Even to this day, there are just so few games for it that I can't help but wonder if Nintendo will shy away from further development in favor of their new WiiU. Oh, don't get me wrong. What has been released, is well worth owning the system for. But, what the future holds is foggy.
