Ok here is the lo-down on everything thta has been happening in my life. Things have been hectic and I have not wanted to be a gloomy gus and bore you all with details. Like everyone, life has been "happening" to me in the ways or equipment failure (i.e. computers, tablets, etc.), health failure, financial and bill paying failure, etc. I see journals all the time from others and I worry about them so and feel bad cuz I am in the same exact boat and yet I can;t bring myself to ask you all for help cuz, I know I am in the same boat as you! I know there are some of you who would say to me that I should ask for help when I need it, but I simply feel as that it's a cop out on my part.
Another thing for me to consider is the fact that my 2 year old is becoming 3 and I was stupid. Any of you who know me, know how much I love my daughter and would do anything for her, in fact tho I am disabled and unable to work to support my family, I bust tail doing art to try to bring in any meager means I can to pull my share. But you also know that I also support my family by watching her and doing house work and all as my health will allow. Well I thought that I could find time among the chores and kid to work on art. Kalixta is so supportive of my work and when I am working on commissions, she takes the kid from me, lets the house work go by the wayside and cheers in my section as I put my all in getting the piece done for my customer, but when it's my own stuff that I want to do for practice or to advertise, well, lets just say I have too many more important priorities to sit at the desk and become a hermit for days on end.
So we come to the point where I have made a decision. I will first start by putting up the couple pieces I have managed to get done since May-June, which I am embarrassed by but this shows how little time these days I have for art.
Second I will be begging you my watchers, to support me by the only way we look out for each other in this or any community, by work of muzzle. Let every one know, pimp this journal if you like! Do what you can, but spread the word that I am open and I need work like all of us! I will tell you as you can tell others, that tho I have a price sheet, they are more like guidelines, and I have never NOT tried to work with someone on price and content. I know I would love to have solid prices, but fortunately for you, my fans, I want to make you happy more! ^.^ (oh and I need the work X3)
Thirdly, of my own work, unless it's something special, I will only be posting/doing sketches (detailed black and whites) and I will CG other's already done line art so as to showcase my CG talents and to not let my skills grow cold, but I simply don;t have the time to draw a picture and take the time to digitally ink and fully CG it from start to finish anymore, unless it's a paid for commission. You may not know but if you ever have a pic that is just line art I have always offered the service to CG it for you, and I will continue to seek out other's art that I really like to CG it for them. but for now the issue is that for one, I have never been able to do traditional inking to any great level, unfortunately due to my health, my hands are to shaky to be able to make much of a flowing line, and the same is true on my tablet with CGing. I currently Digitally ink with Paint Shop Pro (older JASC builds as this is my program of choice for CGing as well, however I CG with 9.0 and I use 6.5 for inking as the pen line engin in 9 is too damn complicated/takes too long) There has got to be an easier way of doing it, but I yet have not found a way, so if any knows a better way, hell let me know, I am willing to try anything! Even if you have some technique advice for me to try the traditional way again, if I could get the black ink to scan in correctly without all the little holes everywhere. =P
Also you will see some colored pieces of mine in traditional mediums from time to time as that has always been another way for me to do things and I still enjoy those ways. I need to get a good new set of colored pencils, but since these ways don;t take nearly the same kind of time as CGing takes, I think I will still pursue doing some work on my own time this way.
And finally, to show you all I am wanting your work, I will be opening slots for people to commission me for sketches of their character in short bursts on sketch pages. What this means is that you can pay me $5 and I will give you a rough sketch. Now this is in name only as all the sketches you have seen in my gallery, are as rough as i get, so I will make sure you are happy with your piece, also this can be on a full page as each $5 gets you another pose per character. So if you want your Herm done in 3 different cute, sexy poses, then $15, if you want a nice full page sketch of you and your mate in a romantic pose, that's $10. The idea is that you can get a nice jumping off point without breaking the bank. ^.^ And I am always willing to Finish a piece later if you want to pay for more work done on something later.
