I haven't watched much TV to see the commercials, but Wal-Mart's already putting out their christmas stock. I was talking to one of the cashiers about it, and they said just seeing it now is making them sick.

I agree 100%... Unless Santa starts bringing adult toys. That will open up negotiations.

I agree as well. Holidays are being mushed together too much lately. We should let each one be celebrated and anticipated in it's own time.

Reason number eleventy-billion why I try to avoid ads as much as possible.

I would say the rule should be no xmas-related items or ads allowed until after Thanksgiving, and a maximum of $250 can be spent on xmas decorations, regardless of home/business and big chain / mom-and-pop store. Who's with me?

Been there... ranted at that... but they never listen to me. That's why I said we should all just start Merry Thanksgivoween and be done with it. At least we can have FUN with the holidays again. Just don't go into a wal-mart near the holiday aisles... They have the Halloween and Christmas stuff next to each other...

If Santa looked like the Hog-father I would be OK with him being on the TV 24/7 but yeah too early for Christmas commercials - they should be outlawed till after thanksgiving.

I know right?! I almost tweaked when I was in WalMart last week and I heard some display playing Frosty The Snowman ( may be a slight exaggeration lol) . The leaves have just started changing colors up here for Christ's sake! I haven't even fully started my fall traditions and now I have to barf on the same old campy Christmas indulgence that happens every year. I know everybody bitches about Christmas starting before Thanksgiving, but this is the earliest I have ever seen the holiday rolled out for retail. Its September 18 and I am already tapped out on the Holidays, except for Halloween of course! ^^ I will be right there with you to end this, or at least push it back to December where it belongs. Being agnostic and ex-Catholic, from both views its ridiculous. I miss you buddy, we should all hang out some weekend.
