Etrian Odyssey IV! IN EUROPE!
I know you skipped two and three, but that's fine, those were for DS and were regionfree so they could be imported. But with the stupid move of regionlocking the 3DS, an NA release of this game is not going to cut it!
And it's not like it can't be a success or has no potential! Here's a list of salesfigures for games on the Japanese market.

In THREE DAYS (Table lists sales from 2nd till 8th of July with EO IV releasing on the fifth), EO IV sold about half as many copies as Pokémon Black 2 did in six. That is the only contender they had, the infamous pokémon core series. The rest all get blown out of the water by this game series' fourth installment.
I also believe the game is undermarketed. It has an immersion that is similar to that of pokémon, where your game is really your game. I think that with just a bit of promotion, Etrian Odyssey could become a flagship title like Final Fantasy. Not the figurehead of gaming, but the kind of series every gamer knows about and no one can deny.
I am really anxious to see the fourth installment, but I am really worried that I won't be able to. I'm concerned that with how difficult it has become for Etrian Odyssey to spread that they will get buried amongst bad copies and bland rehashes of old ideas.
[/rant]. I had to get this out of my system.

Of course, I highly doubt it will ever make the shores of Australia. I had to resort to an R4 card just to play EO2 and 3. Perhaps this may be the only way to play the 4th if it's only released in the US?
P.S. My R4 card suffered a lot of damage thanks to those two games... But they're games that I love to hate, haha
Then Nintendo invented some crap about how the 3DS hardware is different between regions (Which I believe has been proven to be false) just to implement the regionlock. Which I think is their way of cracking down on piracy.
But a regionlock is a call to piracy. I paid for a fully functional 3DS, now I get a 3DS that can't play all the games.
Since it's a software related regionlock, they could easily manufacture an updateable, purchaseable application (Distributed via the webshop) that overrides the regionlock. They could even charge like 5 or 10 bucks for it, gaining money in the process of boosting system and game sales. I really don't see why they don't do that.
