Learn with Pokémon: Typing Adventure. /// "To do" list.
13 years ago
Well... I need to talk a little. So, I'm writing a journal. ^^
So... Yeah. Since Tuesday, I got "Learn with Pokémon: Typing Adventure" because I'm a big Pokémon fan. It's the Pokémon game with a kayboard and it costs me 60€ (in France).
Well... I won't say it's a bad game. They learn you how to tip on a keyboard, etc... The story... Hmm... Well, it's short and you just study Pokémon. Nothing much really happen...
About the gameplay, well... The only problem I have... It's repititive... Too repititive because it's always the same thing... Over and over...
At the beginning, it's pretty easy but at the end, when you try to get golden medals... It becomes very hard then because... You must tip quickly Pokémon names and without doing any typo! Or else, you will break up your combo, and so, you can already give up and retry... Yup. More your combo is longer, more you'll get points. The boss are more or less easy to beat but... I found a trick to beat them so easily. Wacth the characters quickly, then, pause the game and get ready to tip thoses characters, and finally, continue and tip the characters. The trick can works in others stages but you still need to concentrate and to be accurate.
Yeah... I'm not that perfect to tip, and typing Pokémon names without doing any typo... It's so hard... Especially when we have some hard french names to tip like "Mascaïman" for Sandile, or "Lançargot" for Escavalier, or even "Nanméouïe" for Audino (yup, using the extra characters we have in France)... I just gave up to complete the game today because I got angry easily... Besides... I have others stuffs to do before I get Pokémon Black and White 2... >_>
Finally... There is one thing I hated about this game... It's the girl voice... I find her so annoying, even if it's in french, I just can't bear her...
In conclusion... Like I said, it's not a bad game but it's too repititive and often very hard when you try to get the golden medals. One mistake and you can give up and retry the whole level. Also, I think it misses something like... Maybe more minigames, I don't know... Anyway... People who like challenges and typing on their keyboard will probably like it, as long they know the Pokémon universe. =)
Well... Like I said before, I have other stuffs to do... Maybe too much things to do... That's why I need to do a list for me. So... Here we go.
What I need to do before october the 9th (might get the Pokémon games instead of Friday since I preoerdered):
-2 trades to do.
-Fixing some pics (expecially the mega macro Mew and mega macro Totodude ones).
-Beating Pokémon White 1 (I'm late), finding a good Victini and a good Keldeo (with a good nature and good IVs, gonna be long and hard).
-Searching a job.
Optionnals:
-Doing Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and unlocking all support dialogs in Radiant Dawn before I get the Wii U. (because when I'll get it, I'll be transfer the data from my Wii, including my Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn save and I like when my games are 100% completed, or maybe, I think I can still us my SD card though...).
-Completing the Adventure Log in "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue rescue team" (I want to beat this game once for all!)
And I think that's all... For now... ^^;
I could write some chapters on my stories on writing.com but... No one is adding chapters... I'd like some chapters on my "Pokémon Growth's story" but only members can check it. Oh well... If you're still curious, ask me then.
Collabs:
I have several sprites that need improvements. If you can give me hints and/or help to make them better, feel free to let a comment. =)

And yeah. As long you know how to type correctly on a keyboard and quickly, it will be easy at the beginning, but at the end, it's pretty challenging. All I can say, it's too hard for me then, especially when some french Pokémon names are hard to type. ^^;
Oh yeah! I like the artworks (based on the Pokémon Dream if I remember) like the Mew one. So cute... =3
The only things that annoy me, well, first, it's kinda too repititive. Then, the girl voice (in the french version) is kinda annoying too... And the game is a little short too. But other than that, I have nothing to say and it's pretty challenging too (but still too hard for me, especially for golden medals, any typo to break up your combo and you can retry). =)
I mean:
Sawk = Negumi
Snover = Yukikaburi
Marrowak = Garagara
Glailie = Onigo-ri
This is very hard when you have to achieve a high combo for points, or again, lose the course when you mistype or did not clear enough obstacles... I ended up typing in my faster older way just to maintain!
Another problem is that the typing convention is different that the regular Hepburn-based romanization. While some of them are faster to type ("si" instead of ""shi", for example), there are times when things are helter-skelter. I mean, I sometimes forget to type '-', since I did not hear the doubled vowel. Also, there are times when writing "n" then a consonant causes a miss and sometimes causes a pass. (You can not even write, say "xn" for the "ん" kana!)
The last thing...
...whenever I have to write PIKATYU- instead of PIKACHU-...
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8280891/
The worst thing is that the game does not give you a tutorial on proper finger placement until after you beat the Zoroa course! By then, you would have done a considerable amount of typing! Fanna!
...even so, I actually really like this game. I am typing with the way the game taught me myself (though I also missed a few times)!
Well, then, I already learned how to type on a keyboard and that's still a good training to type quickly. My accuracy is more or less good... Getting the golden medals are pretty hard since you must avoid any typo... Or else, the combo is broke up and we can retry.
One of my main weakness is mostly typing "Mascaïman" for Sandile because of the "ï"... Sometimes, I also get trapped because of the "é"... ^^;
And yeah. Like I said, it's not a bad game then. =)
And yeah. In germany, they have their own Pokémon names, just like us in France with the french Pokémon names. Even South Korea has his own Pokémon names since they use different characters.
