I Love My Cat Pt 2
Stupid cat. :P
We cancelled her Saturday visit to be put to sleep and I scheduled her wellness check on Tuesday. Wellness check at Banfield means I drop her off in the morning and she stays there all day to get looked over, shots, bloodwork, etc. Routine visit with my notes about concerns for her behavior.
She PEED in the carrier. First time she's done that. Yowled and carried on the entire 15 minutes she was in there like I was torturing her. So I had to apologize the vet about my pee covered cat (I turned the carrier on one end to get all the pee out before putting it in the car, since she did it on the way down. Knew I'd be giving her a bath when we got home.
Visit went fine. As expected, nothing wrong with her at all. She's just not liking this inability to see. Fully traumatized her by giving her a bath when we got home and marveled at the fact that I have NOT given her a bath in at least two years. No need to. Cat couldn't fight me all that much. She's really lost most of her strength and is weaker than a 4 month old kitten.
Dried her off, let her go clean her fur. She gives me dirty looks, then that night, she invites herself into the bed. :P Purring. Wants attention. Next day, I get meowed at by a chatty cat who is never that chatty. Seems like a completely different cat.
TODAY, she's coming out into the living room repeatedly to see what we're doing (first to inform me I had not fed her breakfast yet.) Which is what we wanted.
SO basically, I just need to traumatize her by taking her to the vet so she realizes how happy she is at home.
Dumb cat.

I don't know what the heck it takes, but if she's finally taking back to you, then all is good, or at least as good as it can be ^^
