8 years ago, Nintendo rereleased super mario 64 on the DS.
They added Mini games.
They added 30 more stars to get.
They added 3 new characters to play as.
They changed the mechanics/world a bit to better cope with the ability to play as 4 different characters.
Mario64DS is probably one of my favorite "remakes" I've ever bought. (and yes i took to replaying it again recently)
Fast forward to today, look at the 3DS.
Other than annoying as shit 3D, what have any of these remakes added?
Nothing. It's just the same game...again. That they expect you to pay for...again.
I could argue even some of the games that aren't remakes, in essence, are. (I'm looking at you "new" super mario brothers)
Cut the crap Nintendo, I'm sick of the same game over and over, do something FUCKING NEW.
Or at least make a remake that FEELS new in some way other than "OH LOOK 3D/HD"
Or as we got with the wii "OH LOOK, YOU CAN WAGGLE"
Or as we'll no doubt get on the Wii-U "OH LOOK TWO SCREENS"

What I want from Nintendo is the good ol' days, but not the same thing over and over again.
The Wii-U is a disappointment and it's not looking any better....
The problem is they probably won't.
With Nintendo, I wish they'd just keep with basic consoles instead of throwing Prototype ideas at us....
You get 4 friends playing that? Fucking awesome.
Problem is though it's limited at one i believe x.x
It may not have hit Xbox or PlayStation 2 numbers, but it was a fantastic first console for kids (as it was mine) and games like SA2B, Super Mario Sunshine, and Animal Crossing have a very strong place in my childhood.
The Wii and Wii U is far from that same experience.
because they would complain "Oh Noes! Horrible Quality" n stuff ^^;;
