Heh, well main reason why I wanted to ask was so that I could try and focus on that aspect and try and make it better. It it's the textures that people appreciate then I should definitely practice that a lot more.
You're right. There's numerous reasons that I can think of why some people watch me and like things I draw. It mostly goes under the term of "they're friends" though. My question is about the people I don't know all that much about.
Well, I just like your art because it appeals. You draw stuff I wanna see, as well as what your watchers wanna see. I suppose it's less of a question of what you're doing right and more of a question of just what you're doing.
Like it because you like it? A good enough reason as any. Suppose I should know my audience well enough that I know what they like. Kind of a simple answer but then it's all in the specifics.
Okay... so let me try and answer this as professionally as possible while still buzzed from a major sugar rush.
I can't speak for other people as I don't know how they work, since obviously I'm not them, but for me, it's three key things that make your art appealing. One is definately the textures and shading. YOu put a lot of work into making your art look more than just cartoons and making them really pop out the best you can both through the textures you use and the shading you apply. The second is the shape. You also have a pretty amiable handle on realistic weight, while still exaggerating it enough so that it's not offputting, the perfect balance between cartoon and real anatomy so that it appeals to a lot of people. The third and final is just your style. Everything you put out seems to scream in my mind to be hugged. Quite frankly, your art is simply just adorable.
What's weird is that those things you've listed(texture/shade, realistic weight/anatomy, cutesyness) are actually things I've talked to myself and really try for with all my works. Thanks for showing me people actually notice that stuff : )
your skills in animation are super impressive, I've been trying to learn on flash and practice just simply doing lineart faster. I have a bigger appreciation even for simple recolors when it comes to animated art
I like what big0 said too, your really detailed pics have a good sense of depth and texture to them that make them stand out very well
Like the guy way above me said, your art is appealing to the eye. You're style draws my attention. And I saw what you said about textures. If you want to draw more watchers' attention, try adding things to your drawings.
Textures to give your drawings more elements of art, maybe try new styles, experiment with animals or objects you've never drawn before, and maybe some new shading techniques or something. I'm sure there are other things as well, but I can't think of anymore. xD
I would say definitely because of your realism-cartoonish characters drawn with your personal shading style (very unique by the way) and well... because who doesn't love foxes!! Yeah... just as its already been said, your art looks all-in-all well done, the effort you made in each image is clearly appreciable... In short: because you've got lot of talent!
Your style is quite unique for one. I haven't seen any others like it. That may possibly be what lends itself to being liked.
Second, regarding your style, you seem to also put alot effort into making them look great. It's obvious to see the heart involved with the time and effort put in.
Your animations are naturally smooth looking, putting more emphasis on the point above. They are well drawn and movements taken well into consideration usually. Not to mention all your characters you draw seem to have notable expressions. Which contributes alot to how a piece is viewed.
This isn't taking into the fact of anything that a typical fur would enjoy just due to content. Thats only a partial factor anyways. Your normal art shows all of these qualities just as much as say, my icon here. Another thing that makes your stuff pleasant is that its consistent enough to recognize, but not stagnant as you are usually experimenting with different techniques.

Second, da way u draw fur is kinda realistic and I feel dat I can almost touch it! xD RLY!
Your style just appeals to the eye, I guess. It's a hard question to answer no matter who asks it.
Anyways, it's no fun asking the easy questions.
