NATIONAL "KILL A PITBULL NIGHT" [Warning to Dog Owners]

Planned on taking your dog out to trick-or-treat with kids?

Recently there has been a man named Terry Jordan
posting online and spreading the work to his real-life friends trying to get a "trend" started this year.
They're trying to get a national holiday started for adults to "have fun" after they take their kids trick-or-treating.
What's the problem with that? They're supporting and eagerly spreading the word about going around and killing dogs. "National Kill A Pitbull Night," as they're calling it, will apperently try to come every year and start this year, 2012.
If you don't have a pitbull, you should still be concerned, they've said countless times that any dog is fair game. I don't even know how to respond to this...

Before we moved I had to place police reports to defend my own dogs. I won't stand for this. Most of the people in my neighborhood have pits and they are the sweetest dogs.
Yeah, that's where we're at as a species right now: "We designed these dogs to look the way they do and train them to act the way they do but we really think it's all the dogs' fault and the only thing for it is to flat out murder the lot of them."
If this asshole is serious, he's the worst kind of scum on the planet and I wouldn't be at all upset if he got lobotomized with a railroad spike. If it's a hoax, he needs to be arrested for inciting a panic... and possibly be led through the streets on a leash wearing a muzzle and a sign saying "I'm a giant douchenozzle."
If it's satire against the ludicrousness of BSL being generally accepted despite being utterly abhorrent and nothing more than a legalization of hate crimes against pit pulls... well, points for trying but the execution is horrid. Then again, satire is a lost art and most people don't understand or recognize it anymore (See: the general public reception of 'A Modest Proposal').
A dog is a dog and a human companion no matter what breed they are.
People's fears are getting the better of them and turning them into dumbasses. He should be put in jail on several counts of animal cruelty.

people see these dogs in dog fighting rings and instantly put a bad name and a secret bounty on their heads because they're too scared to man up and raise the dog right
This kind of shit pisses me off. Really show show evil people can be. My dog is like my own son. I will do anything to protect him. No one's laying a hand on mine.
