Seems someone reported them anyway. That night, police showed up to make a visit, then the next day CPS showed up. All the kids are still there, father's still there, still sometimes some raised voices but I haven't heard anywhere near as much as before. I did have to talk to an officer and a CPS worker, and I swear I felt like my chest was gonna burst. There were a few times I had to apologize and just told them that I had trouble speaking with people I didn't know (the CPS lady seemed to understand, the cop not so much, pretty much just seemed annoyed at the whole thing).

So yeah. We'll see how it goes from here. I'm assuming that, since everyone's still there, there was no physical evidence of abuse... however, I wouldn't know because I am not entitled to that kind of information since they're not allowed to tell me.
