Life is a fragile thing.

So the other day, my mom's cat came in from outside breathing very oddly, making a horking noise when he drew breath, they took him to the vet. A couple hours later they pulled up and parked down by the fire pit in the yard, and my father lit up the yard with his truck. He was looking for his shovel... I came outside when I heard the truck start, confused of course... I had a sinking feeling when my parents didn't come inside already... I don't know why, but I had to look in the kennel... Death is not a new thing to me, I've had many pets die, but this time it was different... The cat I had just played with that day, petted, and held, was gone just like that. The vet said he must have gotten something lodged in his lung when he was gorging on mice, he threw one up. You never know when someone you love is going to go. I don't fear dying, but I do fear dying alone. I haven't ever had love, and who knows how much time any of us has to experience it? It's lonely when my parents leave with the dogs... Kiki would come out and love up on me when no one else was around... Lonely day when your buddy just leaves you like that. Not to mention he isn't doing his job of taking the mice out now, he did his job too well it would seem... The irony makes me giggle, but the reality is harsh... I found him a nice capstone for his grave, I hope he's chasing lazer lights in a better place now.
