Oi, not the news I wanted to hear.

Herpa So, I just got out of a meeting with my manager.
Nice little conversation between two professionals, said that I did very well working two positions at the same time.
Also said that there was no one else he would trusts more to take over his job if something were to ever happen again.
And then he dropped the news on me.
It's not "officially" determined whether this will actually happen...but I might be transferred to another private Special Ed school down in New Jersey.
Don't get me wrong, Jersey is a cool place with lots of stuff to do.
But to be honest...I really don't want to have to move to New Jersey.
Why? Because moving is expensive, gas is expensive...and I don't want to have to say goodbye to my students.
And I certainly don't want to have to move away from Jeff.
I know from my friend that having a boyfriend in another state is not fun at all.
But hopefully this won't go through. I mean, the school year just started, and I'm already being told I might have to move to New Jersey to work.
Not the news I wanted to hear...ever. I love it here in Boston, it's my home.
And I certainly don't want to have to room with my cousin while I look for someplace to live. :(
I've got another month before I learn if I'm staying or leaving. But, crossing my fingers that this won't happen!
Anyway, that's it for now everyone! I'll keep you guys updates on this! :)

Yeah I know how expensive New jersey is o.o; grandpa lives there. Hope you dont have to transfer and get to stay where you are.

Yeah, I hear some of the rental fees for a simple little apartment are just crazy. I may be paid well in my line of work, but I'm always worrying about the bills that I have to pay for my apartment every month. And not to mention having to either rent my apartment to someone else or selling it to someone IF I do get transferred. I'll have to ask my manager tomorrow why I might be transferred.

No. I had to call in sick today. Darn fever got me in the middle of the night. Usually don't get sick this time of year, but I forgot to tun the heat on last night. I'll probably be better tomorrow and go and ask then. :)

i grew up and lived in jersey for most my life >_< it is not all that great really. i mean some parts maybe, like tom's river and seaside heights. but honestly there is too many bad points to it as well >_< hope you do not get transferred ^.^

It's not that I don't like New Jersey. I just don't want to get transferred because as much as I love teaching students with severe learning disabilities, I don't want to leave the students I've already been teaching for the passed few years. Too many closely knit bonds, you know?

i know that all too well ^.^ i get that kind of feeling whenever i mentor someone in whatever. still though just saying if i were you and if i were getting transferred somewhere, i would ask for somewhere FAAAAAAAR better XD. in all sincerity though i do still hope you do not get transferred.

Well, I would ask if I could be transferred somewhere better...but ultimately it's not up to me to choose where I want to be transferred to. :(

that really sucks :( no matter what job your doing getting transferred always sucks unless it is to someplace closer to where you live.
