There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to furry trash. It is a dimension as vast as my ass and as timeless as my tiddies. It is the middle ground between squishy and firm, between science and... 'science', and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his kinks.
I have indeed lost touch with the fandom.
I've started severing ties, I still RP with my long term partners, but only rarely. The fandom was just interfering with my life too much and I was loosing the enjoyment I gained from being a part of it. I'll linger, but it's unlikely I'll post any more art.

FYI: I'm a brony now so I might post some stories (non-explicit) if I get the time.
