i think people on DA are just used to certain stuff from you, so when they see anything slightly anthro, they're like: OH GOD... FURRY. and can't handle the change.
despite how people feel about FA, i think there's pretty much just as much creepy weird stuff on DA as there is here... only difference is that FA allows porn so you don't get the weird 'half-porn' that you get on DA.... (not to say your stuff is creepy and weird... just saying that people are WAY OVERREACTING).
either way... enjoy FA! i like drawing humans just as much as furries and i've had a lot of fun in the furry community. :)

Yeah I realize people who watch me there dont watch for that sort of stuff, but I figure some of the shit I normally draw is a bit more non-mainstream than a couple of cat boys lol. Like if people were turned off or just didnt like it, or expect it that's fine. But to leave me actual angry notes and stuff was going a bit far. DA is kind of the land of "going a bit far" tho, like over-reacting is kind of par for the course lol.
I admit, some of the fetish stuff on this site really squicks me out, but if DA allowed it, it would totally be there too. It's a shame that I was put off from this site for so long because of the fetish works tho because like I said on DA there are a lot of REALLY creative character designers and artists here that don't get to push the envelope as much on DA. And I like that! I also like challenging myself to draw things I wouldn't usually b/c I've been feeling so stagnant drawing the same "alternative bishounen guy in tight pants" for like 90% of my commission work lol. I mean I'll totally still draw those guys but I'd like to do something different too :)

it's pretty crazy people went as far as to give you notes on DA. D: People can be just as nutty on FA... but i will say that people here are far for accepting over here, haha.

haha, yeah, you're talking to a 'furry' who prefers human stuff. i'm pretty vanilla myself and some of the fetish stuff just isn't my thing, but i've been here for quite a few years that i'm pretty much jaded and just don't care anymore, haha. i agree with you 100% on the challenge that FA commissions give over the commissions on DA... it's kind of why i came here! that's why i'm more apt to take commissions here, because i usually get stuff that i'd never draw myself.

DA...the only reason I still go there is to fetch poetry from my first account sot hat I may show people and to chat with old buddies. The retardation laser that DA has, built from the everlasting tears of dramatic teens, makes it all the better to stay away from.

At that, you are completely welcome. I tend to watch anyone who gets most aspects of cat or cat people right and draws them well.
