Best of luck with the move for the both of you. I hope it all goes smoothly and you get settled in to a normal life quickly.

Even if everything goes smoothly, we'll still have to pick up our belongings that are 650km away wich will mean a hell of driving and money we'll have to spend for a van.

Ouch. Yeah, a move that far is never fun. I guess, just don't dwell on the hardships involved in getting this done, but instead, look towards the future, after this part is all over. Once you're all moved in and things have settled down, you'll be able to look back at this point in time and smile about how adventurous it all was. Heh.
If you have one, bring a camera on the trip. You never know what you might see or where you might stop along the way, and have those memories to talk about in the years to come. :)

Ah, but you don't know the German Autobahn. It's mostly 800km of plain, barely inhabited landscape with lots and lots and LOTS of trees. :P

*laughs* Well, you can at least take a picture of what the van looks like, all packed full of your stuff? :)
Yeah, it doesn't sound like all the fun of a drive, though trees are nice. Heh. Either way, I hope it all works out for the best. :)

I moved... 7 times by now.... they say 3 times cost you a year of livetime... and it's not my finaly destination, thats for sure, Berlin stinks.... literally, the air is bad... also we would move to canada if we get the chance, there will be some more years to come so we don't need to rush things.

Wow. I've only moved 4 times (unless I count the 6-month relocation I did for a company I worked for, which would add the move there and then back again), and that was over several decades. And I know after each move, I keep saying never again, but already I'm thinking of moving again within the next couple of years. :)

I hope Berlin doesn't turn out to be too aweful while you're waiting to move again. I've yet to visit Canada, but those I know who live there, really like it. I hope you do too, once the opportunity arrives.

Hmm the chances are slim, i heard about a lot of difficulties for outsiders to move in, specially for us... i mean finding a job in another city is hard, in another country even more. And no Berlin is a fine place, i just don't like the air, thats all. And well, maybe it's a bit too crowded...... i'm getting old, in the past i really liked large cities.

fyi just remember, every place has it's upsides and downsides, including soviet canuckistan. Got to weigh the good with the bad :)
