Thoughts of the moment.

I got some cool stuff from my birthday party. I got Diablo II, some money, a Slusho T-shirt (a size too small, but meh), a couple of logic puzzle books (love that stuff), and Metal Gear Solid Collectors Pack, containing the first 3 games (because I haven't played them yet!) I also got a really cool wrapping paper drawing from Carrie and Alex; it's a drawing of all of us in our "usual" group, only cartoony.
This brings me to my next thing, something I've been feeling down about. We're all leaving next year. All of us in the drawing are going to completely separate places for college. With one month of school left, it's just popped into my head after everyone was gone from the all night party. Maybe it's because I was tired, and maybe it's because I'm still tired, but I'm just really mopey because of it. Not even my birthday nearly a day away excites me.
Next thing, also has me down: 18. It's such an overwhelming feeling, knowing that I am not a kid anymore. Being "legal" just hit me in the face also right after the party. And the ever looming aspect of leaving and seeing everyone once, maybe twice a year.
Ugghh... it all sucks. Except for the party. That was fun. Thanks guys.

Just remember one thing.. You'll feel happier because of it.
=*You don't have to live your life based on anyone else's expectations*=
Just don't ever forget that. College, jobs, relationships, 'grown-up things'...do all that your own way, at your own pace, and don't ever think that there's a 'proper' way to act now that you're an adult (soon).
Just have fun, be unique, and hold onto the things you love.
Though, I still wish I was in High School. n_n I loved it there. College ain't so great, but it's just another part of life. My biggest tip: Make friends early. Without friends, college blows.
