Took me a long time to figure out what I wanted to type out for this one. I look back at the past 10 years of going to Feral and then this one. Each year I have had a take away after the con of why it was so good, and why it was worth 7 days of vacation and close to 1500$. Sadly this year after all is said and done, I would have to rate this year as a C (70%). Just squeeking by 'was it worth it?' and 'will I bother next year?'. The answer being yes and then probably not. For the past few years I have either been a normal reg, or one set up (Sponsor) and never the top level (Patron). Each year they had awsome stuff that they gave the Patrons and then cool stuff for being a Sponsor. So after last year I decided to front the money and be a Patron. Patron gifts this year were a dollar store light gun, and no raffel so no tickets for that. The weather this year was pretty nice, could have been a bit cooler and more wind but not bad. The food, while edible, was very subpar compared to other years. I did make breakfast a few times and that was good, but lunch and dinner both sucked pretty badly. The bell going off in the middle of the night was odd, but made me remember breakfast the next day. To me, everyone that I used to hang out with at this con was busy. It was also hard to meet new people and just be social. Don't know if Feral has fallen into the 'small con group cliques' but that put a damper on the whole thing. It was a lot of fun to hang out with Bandit and CJ, and the mascot for our cabin Toots. The dance, with DJ M-Pony playing was amazing though.

Maybe I'm just jaded by going so many years, and usually having to fight work tooth and nail to go and this year being so lousy. More then half the people I used to hang out with dont go anymore, and most of the other half are busy. Maybe I have done everything there is to do there, and with nothing really new going on it has gotten stale. It did have a few funny and great moments, but most of it was just me relaxing playing a game. Not a bad thing, but I can save a lot of money staying home and doing that.
