1) Make SURE the fur is facing the right direction when you glue it in place (You don't want it to be going up on the head instead of down)
2) Your glue gun can be your best or your worst friend; higher temperature glue guns can melt some types of fur fibers (the more delicate kinds), but they allow a longer time to position your fabric before the glue dries.
3) Try to get the most use out of your materials as possible (you may find yourself needing more of something than you thought).
4) When in doubt, use YouTube or Google (great fursuiting how to tips and videos). ^^
Ooooh my gawsh! XD I'm going to make my own fursuit too (have plenty of the foam, glue and glue gun, industrial strength plastic thread, new scissors, the white eye foam, mesh for the eyes, light blue and green acrylic paint markers for the eyes, and enthusiasm ^^) I just need some time now (...and fur and some other materials). :P I hope to start taking fursuit commissions if everything goes well (practice makes perfect *giggles*).
BTW, did you get that text I sent you with the robot ears? I thought you might like them for your fursuit (I want them fur mine =^^=). X3
I kinda got lucky too, she accidentally made measurements too big, so I got a larger plush than expected... :3
