Okay... yeah, there are plenty. And a lot of courses too! A serious career is about 6 years, but some good ones are about 2-3 years :3

*hugs* I work with a lot of people like you right now, and normally I would point you in the direction of a career services office, though I don't know if any colleges near you have such offices

From most sources I hear from, a "career" in art isn't often as stable, or as fulfilling as you'd think. In most cases, a stable job with art would have you doing textures, and filler work for larger media projects. Working for yourself on commissions obviously isn't as stable, it can be a secondary source of income, but most of us here shouldn't quit our day jobs.

If you do find the process fulfilling, seeking out training to help you better realize your fantasies is a fine idea, as your skills improve, new avenues will open up, so there's nothing to be lost in trying. Except for money and time and a bit of sanity, but that stuff is overrated anyway
