I want a functional tagging system for FA!

Seriously. e621.net has one, SoFurry has one, every half-bit *booru has one.
We already have tags on FA, yes, but they're almost pointless since a) only the artist/author can tag things, and most don't bother to do that; b) all it does is marginally help with searches. On a site like FA, a functional blacklist system that allows you to opt out of viewing any number of fetishes or series or whatever that you don't like would be so good to have.
I enjoy FurAffinity a lot, and it is and has been a tremendously important site for me and for the fandom in general over the years, but how I wish it was a bit more up-to-date tech-wise...

It does help that most attempts to create an alternative have failed to get off the ground, imploded, or have made themselves otherwise unattractive to a great number of users. (I'm looking at you, InkBunny!)
