Dilemma
So it just occurred to me that I could go outside and my nosy father wouldn't be starin' over my shoulder and OHMAGAWDISTHATGAYFURRYPORNONYOURPHONEASGDARBLGARBL
SO
I have a bit of a dilemma, guys.
I preregistered for Oklacon, I even got the last A-Frame spot (lucky me, huh?)
BUT.
I'm seriously considering downgrading to a tent space. I know, I know. Cold, long walk to con grounds, cold, snakes, cold...etcetera.
BUT. I have a good reason besides being a glutton for pain. My friend Dillon is coming last-minute, and he doesn't own a tent. I'm driving him out to Roman Nose for the con, he's a bit new to the fandom and I know he'll love it. He was going to just sleep in my car...
But I, being a total not-douchebag, and having a large tent of my own at home, have all but decided to downgrade.
What do you guys think? Should I go ahead and pack a sleeping bag?

You do what you gotta do you know? The tents aren't a long walk to the "con grounds" by the way, they're smack dab in it:P, and all around it. And if you have/bring the right bedding, it's perfectly comfortable and warm. Things aren't forecasted to be terribly cold for the week, though it will get chilly at night, but better than past years it seems. Just bring plenty of blankets and indeed a sleeping bag. Best thing if you could get it, would be a nice comfy air matress, the bigger the better!
I've done the sleeping out of my car thing at past Cons, it's not fun:P, but then the point at these things is to be with your friends and have a good time...Fuck sleep! You'll find you'll konk out after about a day, day and a half with n o sleep, cause you'll be tryin to stay awake for as long as possible to do stuff and then more stuff!
Just keep in mind though that the a-frames don't cost you anything, other than registration. Tents are Registration + 10 dollars a day. The ten a day is not the con's fault, that's the Park's doing.
But dammit I don't want to just throw him under the bus like that... Maybe if I provided adequate bedding he'd be okay?
Another alternative is possibly rooming up with someone. The cabin or lodge people via the high costs of their accomodations (Those joints are like a 100+ a night) would likely want a fair share of that, which is of course fair but would of course surpass the 50 mark. So the next option is gettin some tent space. Torn went and got this monstrous tent that should be more than big enough for 4 people and hteit stuff, considering it's an 8 person tent. He says he'd be fine splitting the tent cost with you two, so that means you guys would only have to pay 25, or 12.50 each. So offers there. Torn would also have his fluffball husky, Kodi, with us, but hes' been along in the tent with us lots of times and done fine.
