Anyone else use a Bamboo Tablet?

Moo!
Purchased a bamboo tablet for a friend of mine, and the pressure sensitivity won't work no matter what. Did tons of googling, plenty of people having the problem, plenty of random solutions, none of them work!
Anyone have any experience with this problem?

- re-install newer driver
- try backward driver
- turn on Sai/ Photoshop sensitivity
- turn off window's digitizer
then, i don't know
that's all i could think of.
