Poltergeist (I spent no real fear for this, but i was show interest, but this was the first horror film entirely in my childhood
Nightmare on Elm Street (Krueger fan ^^)
John Carpenter's The Thing (amazing)
The Exorcist (Like The Thing ^^)
The Return of the Living Dead (My favorite zombie movie, Black comedy)
David Cronnenberg's The Fly (More than scary. Is disgusting and depressing *sigh*)
Disney's The legend of Sleepy Hollow (never sacares me, but i love it)
Disney's Fantasia - Night on the Bald Mountain (Like disney's Sleepy Hollow)

If you want some other good horror movies try:
Phantasm 1 and 2 (They are low budget but definately creepy)
The Gate (Marketed as a horror movie for kids, but its balls creepy)
People under the Stairs (Twisted ass movie)
Night of the Living Dead 1989 ed. (Better then the original in my opinion)
Exorcist 3: Legion (Also better then the original in my opinion)
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Crazy in that you can see that happening in RL)
Just to name a few.

The Gate, I was really young and only vaguely remembered some images. But i watch it recently before decades and yes, stills creepy, even for kids movies.
People under the Stairs, pending on my list, just the tittle sounds promising :)

Exorcist 3, a worthy sequel to the first movie. i still prefer the Original, but Legion is great! this must be the real second part.
