I looked at the giant screen...

A podium stood in front of it. I just stared in awe until I felt a tap on my shoulder. I looked over and saw Autumn. She smiled at me. "I see this is a first for you?"
"Well not so much but yeah but no..." I replied.
She giggled.
I let out a chuckle but this was truly something. Especially for a boy that came from a farm town, I mean I did go to a university but still I've never experienced anything like this before. The crowd began to quiet down as a man walked onto a stage he was bald and had a scar over his left eye. He looked at the crowd he then cleared his throat then stopped behind the podium. The giant screen now had this man's face on it. He stared out then smirked.
"Welcome ladies and gentlemen. My name is Chad Thompson. Admiral Chad Thompson. Welcome aboard the Renegade the vessel that will take the colony of E-7 to the far reaches of space. To explore new planets that we as humans, Friginosians and Aliens can live in peace and unit it harmony."
I was inspired by Chad's speech. To think that I was going to see new planets and meet new things. I then looked over at Autumn and smirked. My brain kept repeating the same line over and over again.

'As long as I am with her then I will be fine.'

I turned back and looked at the Admiral when the man next to me began to nudge me with his elbow. I looked over and looked at the man confused... Well more annoyed if anything. I hate being bothered especially during a lecture my biggest peeves. Besides dealing with idiots and people that will not swallow the fact that they are wrong. He nudged again.
"Yes." I said quietly and very annoyed at this point.
"Your name is Yate is it not?" The man asked.
I was shocked by this and then stared him down. He was taller than I. He had short black hair and wore sunglasses(Why was he wearing them? I have no idea! I mean we are inside a ship what could possibly blind him... Or he was blind..... Now I feel bad.) He chewed on a toothpick and smirked. I didn't know this man that was for sure. I just cleared my throat, purring at the same time.
"Who are you and how do you know me?" I finally asked.
"I can't tell you much now but I was sent by a high power to protect you. To make sure you stay alive. Hopefully I can do that." He chuckled.
"Protect me? From what?" I thought about it. I couldn't think of any dangers besides that James fellow. (Kinda like High school all over again.)
"I will tell you later. Trust me. Something is going to happen to this ship."
I just looked up at him. I was now worried about what was going to happen. What did he mean by that? He was turning around about to walk away when I grabbed his arm.
"What did you mean by that?!" I was frustrated.
"You'll find out later." He sounded happy.
"Who are you? Why are you dodging my questions?"
"You'll find that out later as well. Goodbye Yate." He pulled away then left the conference room. I just watched him walk away when I felt a tap on my shoulder.
"What is it?" Autumn asked.
I looked at her still confused and worried. I could have told her the truth. I could have said I met a man that claimed that the ship would be in trouble but I didn't. All I said was:

"It's nothing. Just still astonished by this place."

The Swordmaster stared me down. Like she was trying to read me. She furrowed her brows and her worried look turned into a look of concern.
"You can tell me. Is there something wrong?" She asked slowly. She could tell that I was lying I was about to say something when there was a loud applause. We both looked to the front and saw the Admiral wave and walk off stage. Autumn sighed then looked at me
"Come on. It's time we go to sleep." Autumn said as she took my hand and we left the conference room together. We immediately turned left and walked down the corridor. I couldn't shake what that man said. Was something really bad going to happen to the ship or was that a loon that somehow managed to get on the ship. I had to think of this logically and my logical conclusion comes to this... I must have imagined him. Must be a vision because of... Because of lack of sleep. Yeah that is it or the final logical conclusion I was going crazy. We stopped and I kept walking forwards then was stopped by Autumn she pulled me back. I was shaken out of my thinking game.Only to be standing in front of a sliding door that quickly slid open. We walked in and that is when I saw the hundreds of sleep pods.
"So am I going to sleep?" I asked.
"Yeah I am going to put you under until we need to wake you up." Autumn said looking at the pods.
"What about you?"
"I'll be sleeping too. Don't worry." She smiled.
I looked down at out hands. She still held mine in hers. "Um..."
Autumn looked down at our hands then let go of my hand quickly. "Sorry..."
I just smiled and then looked at the pods. She walked to one of the pods and opened it up then waved me over to it. I walked over looking inside the pod. It was black all around and had padding on the back of it.
"Go ahead get in." Autumn said calmly.
I looked at her then slowly stepped into the pod. I tried to get comfortable but my tail would just not sit still then I grabbed it and wrapped it around my waste. Autumn laughed.
"What?What is it?" I looked at her confused.
She calmed herself down then pressed some buttons on the side of the pod then she gazed at me with those beautiful eyes. "You're too cute Collins."
Autumn then closed the pod door. I smiled at her and she smiled back at me. She said I was cute. Was she hitting on me? 'Cause that would be so cool I then began to chuckle to my self. Look at me, questioning whether a girl was hitting on me or not man my priorities are backwards. The pod door began to tent itself over. I closed my eyes then mind went blank. That is when I remembered... I really need to use the bathroom. The pod began to hiss and I was in a deep sleep... With a full bladder.
