Thinking about maybe getting White 2 or Black 2. INPUT PLZ?
It's really not my thing to buy the new Pokemon version right when it comes out but ugh I love Pokemon games and pffff I want Black 2.
OR should I get White 2? Does it matter? I mean, I have Black Version, so I dunno if I wanna change it up and get the other one for the new version? UGH IDK.
Why couldn't they just come out with one version after the first two, maybe "GREY VERSION," similar to what they did for EVERY. OTHER. FREAKING. GENERATION? (Red, Blue, then YELLOW, not Red and Blue 2. Gold, Silver, then CRYSTAL, not freaking 2 new versions ughghfhffff you get my point?)
What I'm making the journal for is this:
- How do you like Black 2 and White 2, for those who have it? In comparison to Black and White Versions, how do you like it: better/worse?
- Are the Pokemon found in Black the same as found in Black 2? Or did they switch it up a bit or something?
- Should I jump on the bandwagon and get it soon (soon-ish at least, cause I won't get it 'til after FurFright) or not bother and just live my life without a BRAND NEW SHINY DISTRACTION to DISTRACT ME YAY!!! maybe?

FA+

If you tend to buy the third game anyways, do it, it goes above and beyond what they usually add.
I personally really liked Black Version. :O
The storyline didnt grasp me like the other games and in general I didnt care for the majority of the new pokemon, even the starters were less than desirable to me... usually I heavily favor one but with this version I just chose the one that would better suit my needs. The game seriously did not do it for me like the previous games... if only the pokemon looked better and had better names... really a candle, ice cream cone, and trash bag for pokemon?? A yorkie for the dog type pokemon... why remake Tauros with a afro? Genie pokemon... ugh.
But I guess I didn't analyze it the same way you did. I am absolutely HATING grinding right now in my Black version to get through Victory Road or whatever. Stupid caves to go through are stupid.
And I didn't really notice the lack of diversity in opponents.
I loved the starter I picked though. I immediately fell for Oshawott, but that's personal taste.
The storyline was actually more interesting to me in Black/White than in a few of the other games. It was kind of interesting to see that they were
kind ofEXACTLY like PETA, going about "freeing Pokemon" and such in the most sinister, evil way, and trying to foil anybody who came in their way. I almost read into it as a social commentary, but maybe that's just me.I feel like they went really fancy with the graphics of the cities and such but lacked a whole lot in the actual ideas of the pokemon. The cities themselves lacked the same amount of exploration as others. Goldenrod and Vermillion comes to mind with how much exploration a town offered in the older games which I never feel like I found in any city in B/W.
Overall, if you're a Pokemon fan, I say its definitely worth a look. At least in this version you cant take an uber Pokemon and destroy the Champion the first time around.
And finally: SHINY DRAGONITE! <3
Step 1: Defeat the champion.
Optional, but recommended step: make a sidequest to go catch Reshiram, and Kyurem if you wish.
Step 2: Go to Flocessy Town and defeat Alder (His team is level 60, so it's not too terrribly difficult as your team should be on par with his).
Step 3: After the cutscene, make your way to White Forest and enter the big tree in the middle.
Step 4: Challenge the White Treehollow. You'll need to beat the boss trainer this a total of 10 times, one for each area. Pokemon levels start at 50 but quickly grow higher, and by the time you're done, you will be facing Level 75-80 Pokemon in Area 10.
Also, I strongly recommend you have a pen for areas 6 and beyond, because you will be exploring multiple levels and it's easy to get lost.
Step 5: Anyway, once you defeat the Boss of Area 10, Fly back to Flocessy Town and go back to the house Alder lives in. Talk to the person who you just battled and he will fork over a Level 1 Dratini. This Dratini is special in that it is ALWAYS shiny. Also the Natures and IVs are random when you recieve it, so if you want to seriously train a Dragonite, you can reset the game until you get one you're satisfied with.
Note: If you buy Black 2, the process is very similar, except instead of a shiny Dratini, you will instead receive a shiny Gible at Level 1.
Also I believe that Black City and White Forest are interchangable like they are in Black/White. I'm not sure if it's strictly exclusive to White (I'd have to check Serebii to see what's listed there.)
And I have Black version, so I'm going to end up getting Reshiram in that version when I bother to get that far (lol oops havent beaten it yet), so I'm thinking I'll switch it up and get White for that reason too--to get Zekrom.
Once you catch Reshiram/Zekrom, you can then go to Giant Chasm where Kyurem has reappeared and catch that too. If you catch Kyurem, it leaves behind a Key Item which allows you to 'Combine' Kyurem with either Reshiram or Zekrom, which results in the Pokemon you see on the box and on the title screen. Note that Reshiram or Zekrom will 'disappear' from the party when the combination is done. But the process is reversible if you decide to change your mind.
Also, this combined form of Kyurem can learn Fusion Flare/Fusion Bolt (With a Heart Scale) and Ice Burn/Freeze Shock (A unique move it learns automatically when it fuses with the other Dragon, but isn't particularly good). Just note however that if you decide to separate the two dragons, Kyurem will lose these moves.
Combined Kyurem: Note that ALL of Kyurem's forms keep the original Ice/Dragon typing.
White Kyurem has Turboblaze, allows it to attack the opponent regardless of it's Ability. Black Kyurem gets Terravolt which is the same exact thing.
Base Stats: HP - Health Points, AT - Attack, DF - Defense, SA - Special Atk., SD - Special Def. SP - Speed
White Kyurem | Black Kyurem
HP: 125 | HP: 125
AT: 120 | AT: 170(!!)
DF: 90 | DF: 100
SA: 170(!!) | SA: 120
SD: 100 | SD: 90
SP: 95 | SP: 95
Note: Compare this to Mewtwo, who has Base 154 Special Attack. And also to Attack form Deoxys which has 180 in attacking stats.
You do need two DS/3DS units, as it makes use of DS Download Play to transfer the data.
