Do you or someone you know have gauged ears? Big or little or fukken huge?
Some friends and I are working on a way to put images. (like your awesome furry pics) on gauges.
And for you mlp fans we are working on a way to simply engrave the cutie marks into high quality lacquered wood. What I want is for you guys to ask around and see if there's a market for this before we get the tools. These would be super high grade and super affordable.
Pleeeease ask your friends and spread the word. I just wanna know if this is worth the investment.

Basically he gets physical hunks of wood and sands/drimmels/carves it down to the right size.
Then we either take a small image and place it under the quartz/plexiglass cap to make it reflect into the clear part so it's nice and visible, or for simple designs, we just etch it right into it and paint it the corresponding colors.
My starting recommendation to him is to sell the big wood carved ones for about 20$ for a pair.
The smaller ones will probably go for 10$ a pair. We're trying to break even and get a little ahead, we don't think our shit don't stink and we ain't looking to break anyone.
When i say big ones... we're talking about ears like his . (inch+1/4)
smaller gauges will definitely be the bulk of what we would sell (Assuming it works) but the big one's will be fun and probably the best work. (only because there's a bigger surface to work with. )
Again, this is something of a loose dream and i'm simply trying to test the waters for interest.
There's definitely interest in selling them at conventions.
My plan is to not officially announce them until we have at least 1 full set of several pairs to show off so people can place orders. We'd only take a few orders the first year so they can get done in time, then raffle off one pair at the con of choice if the interest was high enough.
This way, we'd only be out one set at the worst if no one care. but if interest is high enough, we'd come back the next year with full set of premade designs of many sizes.
I wish there were more furries with inches or higher so we could do the big pretty ones, but if we can get a grip on these it could be very fun and a lot of people could get custom gauges they couldn't get for 10$ before XD!
And there's always Scalpeling.
That's how Brian did it (my artist friend)
It apparently hurt like hell!
