Oklacon Concert

General
We went to Oklacon and put on a hell of a concert. It was a blast.
It started out bad, but got really good. On Thursday, we were setting up for rehearsal and Theron got into a fight with a cactus and lost. Hardcore. He ended up with a billion needles in his hand, and one big on going into the middle of his thumb and the other one coming out of the other side! It was crazy, but unfortunately no cameras were rolling or available for pictures. :(
We lost Pachua and couldn't find him for about 4 hours and it turned out that a miscommunication kept him from meeting us at the right place and time.
We played with Sub Level 03 doing our sound checks and engineering which was fucking awesome. Lenny and John are really awesome guys and helped us a lot. We really appreciated them letting us use their equipment for the show.
Our set lasted about 29 minutes concluded by an epic 2 minute drum solo to wrap up.
One major hangup, our photographer got really wasted and didn't film us, so unfortunately, there is no "official" video of this event, you'll just have to youtube it and see if you can find us.
This show wouldn't have been possible without everyone's support. Thanks to the 77 watchers we have helping us shape our recordings and pushing us to play for y' all.
Shout out to Miss Smitten Kitten (Our number 1 fan) for coming out to see us. It was really cool to meet someone that knew all of our songs. She made us feel really important.
Awesome note: Jackal got to sign his first booby autograph which I am sure he enjoyed a lot. :)
Thanks everyone,
Derrick Lesters (Drummer)
NEWS: There is talk among us that the band name may not change after all. We're going to mull it over, but the general consensus was that A Dozen Dead Furs was, in fact, cool. We believed that it was lame because we were hearing a lot of reviews that people weren't digging the name.
Rock ON!
