Straight up tell them that you won't be stuck in the middle- they're adults and they need to act like it.

That's what I did, but it certainly doesn't stop them trying or stop it stressing me out. Why can't people just fight their own battles?

Cause their generation mostly turned out to be emotionally stunted 5 year olds who refuse to talk things out and instead think the best way to deal with eachother is to be manipulative and hurtful. My parents are the same way bro
