As far as I know, the biggest wave of deletions came from Rule 34 pony blogs that were drawing explicit underage art.

At least, that's the only lash-back I've seen. My stuff's still up, so the standards seem to be pretty low still.

I've checked a few searches on the matter, and it wasn't just pony blogs. Seems like they've been hitting Erotic NSFW blogs in general. Including payed ones that have ads.

Seemingly underage porn blogs are being removed.

But staff doesn't really care.

I dunno, I've been hearing blogs with no underage content have been hit as well.

That's why I said SEEMINGLY. They don't actually have to be underage, just kinda/sorta look like it.

I mean like official adult tumblr sites too. Those are payed for and sponsored.

That's gonna bite them in the ass.

Huh, this is news to me. The mass-deletion of tumblr blogs, I mean. It could be what  yawg and  chestermoistmuffins said though, about explicit underage Rule 34 MLP art being removed though. Not sure though, as I DO have a tumblr account, but only ever check it 1-2 times a month.

It sounds as though it's just those with MLP porn. And from what I've seen, you're not exactly known to be a massive pony porn artist, so I think you'll be safe from this obsessive's jihad. Whoever it is found a loophole and is "striking out" against the scourge of the ponies. Though folks like Morganagod, Josh Lesnick, Noill, and many other artists with adult works are in the clear.

So yeah. It's just another front in the imaginary 'pony war' someone is fighting.

This. People found a way to harass artists that made things they didn't like and spread it around so that anyone with a bone to pick could try to take down a blog.
Tumblr is a dangerous place right now and it was NEVER truly safe.

They've targeted general adult blogs as well. I wanted to make sure, so I checked around. It's not just the Ponies although they're the most vocal.

The trick seems to be that they are looking at content and screaming "Child Porn! Someone please think of the children!!" at the top of their lungs. That or bestiality. Each one of them was what I saw levied at 0rochi.

I've noticed it's not even like mod or admin deletion, right away. From what I've seen most of them are taken down because they get reported en mass by some butt hurt group of people, I'm assuming. Typically they report the blogs in question based on specific TOS they MIGHT have broken at some point, and then once the blog is removed to be inspected the mods/admins usually side with the people reporting.

I keep hearing a lot of the pony blogs that are being taken down are the ones with pony on human art. Because if it's just ponies, it's just ponies, but if it's human on pony they can make the argument for bestiality. They also use "underage" as one of there reasons. Even if the character just looks young. It's pretty fucking stupid. It's basically a massive exodus of porn because I'm assuming someone is major butthurt about something and is riling people together to try and fix what they think is broken. I wouldn't be surprised if they started trying to target just general furry blogs next.

They will target everything they don't like. As it's an auto delete system I'm waiting for others to start going after everything because they're pissed off. Pretty much if Tumbler doesn't get its head out of its butt and do something about this soon, Tumbler will be finished.

Basically Tumbler has an automated deletion system if a page gets enough complaints. Some one figured that out so they are spamming every page they hate until it gets auto deleted. This is typical when you have any kind of auto system, people will figure out how to game it. Pretty soon I expect to see everything on tumbler being attacked because they didn't just go after pony porn, they went after ALL the pony sites, and when your site is deleted on Tumbler you get no warning and you lose everything.

So yeah, the people running Tumbler are dicks and idiots. Glad I never went there.
