It's kinda annoying I can get in when every other artist seems to have luck getting an invite. I am really hoping no one has taken the name!

I have an account now, but I don't think it lets you send out invites until you've been a member for a certain period of time. :/ I can still give it a try though, all I need is your email address.

It's a very bad marketing scheme, and I'm not quite sure I feel it is ethical or fair. They are excluding people for the sake of advertising. I'm not sure if those invites are one-use-only type deals, so if you are worried about wasting one, then don't bother sending me one. It's quite alright if you don't :)

I think the site is invite-only because it's still in its beta stage and they don't want to overload the site with tons of new members at once. Although I do agree, it's really unfortunate that so many people don't get a chance to join. :/ Are you sure you don't want an invite? I don't mind using one. Weasyl looks pretty nice so far, it has plenty of features that FA doesn't.

It's up to you. I will say that I most likely would not use the invite unless I changed my mind later for whatever reason. If you send me one, I'll hold onto it, but I assure you it will not be used anytime soon.

Honestly, I can't be the only one that's getting tired of hearing about Weasyl. I'm thinking it'll go the same way Nabyn did, which is STILL in paid-only beta status, been that way for over a YEAR now...

Yeah, I'm tired of my inbox filling up with journals about it. >__> But I figured I'd get in on the action, it's a pretty cool site. Hopefully it actually lasts.
