Story time again kiddies! :D
This time we have
anjimcdohl to tell us a poker game story. :3
The cigar lounge where I smoke, the Taino Cigar Lounge of La Casa Del Puro in El Paso, TX, has a weekly friendly Texas Hold 'Em game on Friday nights, which is why I miss the cigar chats. The crowd varies between 4 to 10 people, and we have a good night.
One night a few weeks ago, I was on the ropes, with $1400 in assorted chips, in addition to my black chip, at $5000. We deal up the cards. I peek, and see a pair of kings staring back. I light my second cigar of the evening, A Hoyo de Monterrey Dark Knight II, and call the blind. Here comes the flop.
7 - King - 7. I maintain my poker face and check. Another player bets 300. Fold, Fold, back to me. I call.
Next card: King. I've won the hand. Still stone-faced, I bet another 300. Another round of folds. Just me and David. He calls.
The river card: a nine. David, banking on the 7 in his pocket, drops his black chip. I smile, take a pull of my Dark Knight, and flip my chip in.
o.o....how suspensful...
Wait till next episode. D:
The reveal: David smirks and reveals his 7. I take another pull of the cigar, and reveal the lords in my pocket. The smirk vanishing from his face is priceless. I stand up, and before I scoop my new-found 'wealth', I say, "If you'll allow me a moment's liberty..." Fist pump. "BOOM." Scoop my chips and head off to the restroom.
