People who know me just a teensy bit well know that Star Wars is my favorite movie franchise ever and has impacted the course of my life heavily. And so I heard that Disney acquired Lucasfilm today and that they want to do a sequel trilogy. I should be happy. Lucas is old and he wasn't going to make those movies better than he made the prequels. They were going to be trash either way. Well, people were all butthurt about Marvel being bought out. It didn't change much. Marvel was still Marvel. Except for Avengers cuz fuck Avengers.

Now I know sort of how those twenty somethings felt as they waited for the release of The Phantom Menace. I totally get it. I'm really disappointed that they're likely going to invalidate the Thrawn Trilogy and Legacy, but also I'm kind of excited. I was really butthurt 30 minutes ago but I don't know. I'll keep my judgement steady til the details of the time period and the plot are released. I so hope this movie isn't just to sell toys and to pander to one or two specific interest groups and I really hope it has a plot.
