23 Deep-Ass Questions
Snatched from Voltiel's journal: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/3987354/
Been a while since I've done one of these.
1. What is more difficult for you, looking into someones eyes when you are telling someone how you feel, or looking into someones eyes when they are telling you how they feel?
When telling someone else how I feel, because usually I wait until I'm driving down the interstate with them in the passenger seat to do it. Then they can't escape!
2. Think of the last time you were REALLY angry. WHY were you angry? Do you still feel the same way?
This last week, after watching Cloud Atlas. The "why" is more elusive, but certain parts of the movie evoke a simultaneous terror and rage response every time I think about them. The anger's still there, but it's on a dull burn now.
3. You are on a flight from Honolulu to Chicago non-stop. There is a fire in the back of the plane. You have enough time to make ONE phone call. Who do you call? What do you tell them?
My dad. Assuming my plan to open an emergency hatch and snuff out the fire with the wind and low air pressure doesn't work, I'm going to need him to pick me up after I land the luggage- and airplane seat-crafted parachute/airboard contraption that I've spent the last 15 seconds making.
4. You are at the doctor’s office and he has just informed you that you have approximately one month to live. Do you tell anyone/everyone you are going to die? What do you do with your remaining days? Would you be afraid?
I'd probably tell my parents and sister, then do a little traveling. One more trip to Kittyhawk's hang gliding school, and I hear France is nice this time of year. And yes, I expect I'd be terrified.
5. You can have one of the following two things. Which do you choose? Why? Love and Trust.
Question does not compute. One isn't possible without the other.
6. You are walking down the street on your way to work. There is a dog drowning in the canal on the side of the street. Your boss has told you if you are late even once more, you are fired. Do you take the time to save the dogs life? Why or Why not?
Yes. Because if the tables were turned, the dog would probably try to find a way to save me, and it sounds like my job kinda sucks, anyway.
7. Would you rather be hurt by the one you trust the most or the one you love the most?
Once again, not sure how to differentiate the two.
8. Your best friend confesses that he/she has feelings for you more than just friendship. He/she is falling in love with you. What do you (or did you) do/say?
"Um...wow, Dad, that's unexpected. I don't want to hurt your feelings at all, but I think it might be best if I start looking for another place to live...."
9. Think of the last person who you know that died. You have the chance to give them 1 hour of life back, but you have to give up one year of yours. Do you do it? Why or Why not?
No. Mathematics and objectivity. If everyone made that trade, we'd all receive an hour to our lives and lose a year. Net loss of 364 days, 23 hours to everyone's lives. If everyone was selfless in this nature, we'd all starve.
10. Are you the kind of friend that you would want to have as a friend?
Not really. We'd never talk!
11. Does love = sex?
Nope. Love is an emotion, sex is a physical act that can and should result from it, enhance it, and evoke it. But seriously, this is like asking if olive = martini. It helps to have the former to make the latter, and the latter can make the former a whole lot more interesting, but they're not at all the same thing.
12.Your boss tells your coworker that they have to let them go because of work shortage, and they are the newest employee. You have been there much longer. Your coworker has a family to support and no other means of income. Do you go to your boss and offer to leave the company? Why or Why not?
No. Because that would be stupid. See self sacrificing sermon from Question 9, apply logic here.
13.When was the last time you told someone HONESTLY how you felt regardless of how difficult it was for you to say? Who was it? What did you have to tell the person?
Two days ago: I told my dad I felt like eating at Fazzoli's. Wasn't all that difficult.
14. What would be (or what was) harder for you to tell a member of the opposite/same sex, you love them or that you do not love them back?
That I love them. Though neither's easy.
15. What do you think would be the hardest thing for you to give up? Why would it be hard to lose?
My teeth. I like food. (Non smartass answer: My family. They're all I've got. Except for my teeth.)
16. Excluding romantic love, when was the last time you told someone you loved them. Who were they to you?
My sister, a few days back on the phone.
17. If there was one moment and one time in the last month what would you change and why?
In my own life? Probably any given moment at work speaking with my boss. Rather than going about our business as if nothing was wrong, I'd like to have manned up and told her that she could save a tremendous amount of time and money by just firing me and doing my job herself.
18. Would you give a homeless person CPR if they were dying? Why or Why not?
I'd like to think so, if I knew CPR, of course. But only after checking the surroundings thoroughly to make sure it's not a trap. And making sure the homeless person doesn't have anything sharp that they might stab me with while I'm trying to save their life. ...Come to think of it, they might be better off without me, as long a time as it would take me to get around to actually helping.
19.You are holding onto your grandmother’s hand and the hand of a newborn that you do not know as they hang over the edge of a cliff. You have to let one go to save the other. Who do you let fall to their death? What was your rationale for making the decision?
I'd wrap my ankles around some roots and hang on to both for dear life. Assuming the question's parameters are accurate, we'd all fall to our deaths, but there's a difference between being selfless and being too stubborn and stupid to know when to give up.
20. Are you old fashioned?
Either not at all, or older fashioned than anyone else alive.
21. When was the last time you were nice to someone and did NOT expect anything in return for it?
I'm petting my cat this very moment. I expect he'll hiss at me soon. You mean a human? The last time I saw one, then. When I'm nice, I'm nice because it pleases me to be nice, not because I'm trying to trade it for someone else's niceness. My niceness could probably beat up their niceness, anyway.
22.Which would you choose, true love with a guarantee of a broken heart, or never loved at all? Why?
Love and heartbreak. But that's assuming I could ever be convinced going into it that heartbreak is guaranteed. It's that admitting defeat thing again.
23.If you could do anything or wish anything, what would it be?
Fly. No wait, shapeshift! Because then I'd just grow myself some wings.
24. Why would there be a 24th question, when it says that there are only 23 deep ass questions?
Because the people asking the questions aren't good at math. 1 hour > 1 year? *snorts a laugh and walks away*

2. I was angry because I had to deal eith a kid who thought what he was doing at the time was more important than our United States Marine Corps...and I still feel the same way, fuck that kid I hope he gets cancer.
3. I call no one, I stand up and put out the fire LIKE A BOSS and then I fuck all the hot flight attendents and get money.
4. I would tell everyone, and I would die LIKE A BOSS, i.e. fucking bitches and getting money, and if course I would be afraid, I would just hope it's painless.
5. Trust, because it's more valuable than love.
6. I sace the dog because there are more important things in this world than money, and I get to work in time, anyway, because I'm a BOSS.
7. Love, because I can drop a bitch like a hat.
8. I know, no big, but I gotta tell ya it's not serious for me...
9. No because what is one more hour to the dead if they know they are going to die again? I wouldn't put them through that pain.
10. Yes because I'm a BOSS.
11. No.
12. No, that sucks for him but he should have joined the Marines. Gauranteed pay and work.
13. Last night, I called him a faggot and he said, "shut the fuck up, bitch"...LIKE A BOSS.
14. That I don't love her, because love is insipid
15. Nothing. I am prepared to die.
16. My mom on Monday.
17. I would change how I approached some conversations with individuals about the Marines.
18. Yes because life is important...duh...stupid vapid question.
19. Kill grandma cuz shes a bitch and baby is more important. Grandma had a good run, anyway.
20. Vague question, sure why the fuck not...cowpoke.
21. Just an hour ago, because I'm a god damned United States Marine and I am nice to everyone, yet I always have a plan to kill them.
22. True love because it is better to have loved and lost...but then again theres no such a thing as love.
23. I would wish for true spiritual awakening on this earth, not peace, but just a type of cognition that showed the world a life without transgretion or hatred.
24. Because you're a retard who added a trick question at the end to confuse the populace who read this.
