Graphics Card halp!

General
My computer is currently rocking a Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 graphics card, but I'd been having some graphics problems (broken images when they try and load, videos not working right, etc.) and in talking with
a while back, he said that there was a problem with my graphics card.
I still don't have a job yet, and my graphics card seems to be getting progressively worse (can't even play Skyrim anymore), but I'm trying to plan ahead and figure out what kind of graphics card would be a good step-up from what I'm currently working with at a price hopefully around $200. The GeForce website doesn't really help much, since I can't compare my current graphics card to the other cards they have available on the "compare products" thingy.

I have the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 and sometimes images show up broken or corrupted, videos sometimes mess up but I haven't had any issues as of late..
So I dunno what to say to this really... My boyfriend has the same card as I do but he has no issues like this at all, but you can look up my card if you'd like

How hot does your computer usually run? If it's due to heat damage, you may want to fix that problem prior to getting a new card. I usually run SpeedFan, as I'm really OCD about making sure I'm not overheating my computing parts. :3 http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php
I use Speccy from Piriform to check up on my temps and a rainmeter program for usage.
Im very happy with it
