Way to go, WA! We passed a pair of groundbreaking legislatures, leading the way with marijuana legalization alongside Colorado, and joining other states in passing marriage rights.
What actually offends me the most about the marriage issue, isn't even any of the homophobia, or the nonsense 'problems' people believe would arise from it. The most offensive thing to me, is the fact that we have to run human rights through public referendum.
But hopefully this sets a more positive precedent for the future.

Keep marriage Biblical. Seven hundred wives and three hundred concubines were good enough for King Solomon. But then some of them were furriners who polluted his mind with ideas like religious pluralism (1 Kings 11:1-3)

Here in Indiana, things are... unchanged. We still ran the basic split push we've kept for many years now. Rep Pres, Rep House, and a Dem Senator for this district. We went with a Dem for head of Education. That's new. No new laws or anything though.
