Global warming is nothin more than a fearmonger theory and a way for political assholes to get money.

Even if that is the case, the articles I'm reading appear to be citing a source that doesn't exist, which looks very poorly on them. However, it is largely possible that I'm just missing the link. I have been known to make stupid mistakes.

I don't know a lot about climate change as I have not researched it. I do know that here in Minnesota we should be under at least 2 feet of snow by now and some days are still barely jacket weather here. Also in regard to stupid mistakes, trying to fly a kite and ride a bicycle at the same time on a windless day down a street with many trees and power lines is not a good idea.

That's not due to the global temperature though, but the jet stream in combination with tropical fronts pushing up from the south :) . Most local climates can't accurately guage climate change by themselves, and it requires an overall view to form any relationship. Hope that clarifies things :)

Alright, I think some science is necessary here. Global warming is a real phenomena, HOWEVER it is not the carbon driven, human polution centered monster it has been portrayed as. The entire notion that carbon has anything to do with it was put to rest by Al Gore himself and his utter incompetence, because if you look at his charts (which he claimed proved the relationship between carbon and global warming) as the temperatuer increases, carbon only increases AFTER the fact the temperature has increased. This is because, hmmm what do you do when it's warm out. Oh yeah, boost the air conditioning. True causes of warming and cooling periods are solar cycles, Earth's magnetic field (polar shift activity), and volcanic eruptions. Carbon does not cause signficant effects, at least to the degree being claimed.

It is true though that temperatures seem to be declining. It is warmer than usual, but those temperatures are not increasing, or at least nearly as much as they were. Actually, according to global temerature data, we are experiencing decreasing trends. Actually, the International Conference on Climate Change held in Chicago concluded that global warming has ended and to expect cooling to occur over the next few decades (third article). Thank you very much. It will be nice to read some articles that cite sources. All the ones I've found keep citing a report that I can't find.

And I do remember reading somewhere that the CO2 was more of a feedback mechanism normally that aids in the warming once it has started and that the worry was that human emissions might cause enough of an impact to start up a regular production of CO2 caused by a warming earth. I'll see if I can find where I heard that.

That is correct! The thing is, there's nothing to drive anymore, hence why we are in a temperature decline.
