Fudge Trades for Art or other Sweets!
Allon, the Cookie Dragon
Well, it's getting that time of year when sweets start popping up in everyones kitchen, and of the home baked variety and not just candy from Halloween.
In that I'll be starting on Fudge fairly soon towards the end of November and I would like to know if anyone is interested in trading fudge for art? Or doing a sweet exchange as well of there own baked goods for the holidays?
My standard offer is of around two pounds of fudge of your choosing, a variety is possible as well. This year I'll be shipping them in larger blocks and not precut like I did last year. Variety still fully possible though, no worries! (To give a volume size to the two pounds, it's basically about the size of a VHS tape, whatever I can fit in one of those flat rate VHS sized small boxes of the post office.)
Flavors I am sure to have are...
Chocolate
Chocolate Mint
White Chocolate (Also can be done in mint if there is a request for it)
Peanut Butter and Chocolate (And straight peanut butter if wanted too)
Nutella (One of my favorites, course I like them all!).
I might be doing small batches with nuts as well and am willing to experiment with flavors as well too. I think I'll be doing a batch of Black Walnut fudge at some point. I do take requests though, so please ask if something else tickles your fancy.
What I want? Well, art or home baked sweets! If it's art I rather like a holiday sort of theme to it of my character. Though the Holiday part is very flexible, if you have ideas I welcome them, just let me know in a note.

And, plenty of assorted other pics when doing a search for Allon on FA. (I never have gotten a full ref sheet done yet.)
If you are interested let me know here and pop me a note with what you want and would like to make as well.
This offer though is limited to those within the United States as shipping food items to other countries can potentially run into problems, and it also takes a whole lot longer too.

(also, you linked the same pic twice)
Or hmmm... ::Ponders making shiney fudge?... Could it... sparkle? maybe... maybe...::
I was just, pondering, heh.
Thank you, those were awesome cookies too that I need to do again sometime.
Be happy to trade for some chocolate / PB fudge. :)
Up to you on that though. :)
But absolutely! I need to upload the two most recent ones I've done but if you see any you like that are already finished, let me know! :)
Please note me with your shipping info. It'll probably be around beginning of December when things start getting shipped, just arranging trades now to have time. :)
And yeah, Post office is generally fine with shipping of food items. A few exceptions are... Alcohol, and also sometimes fresh produce as well. Once I tried to ship Home Grown oranges from Florida and they wouldn't allow it due to a current ban on shipping of them for the potential of spreading a disease from some orange trees down here from home grown type situations. That's the only time I've had any issue shipping a food item before.
Just do remember a couple of things... 1. Pack it VERY well. Shipping fragile baked goods is rough. I used to try and ship these "Stained glass" Cookie dragons (Sugar cookies in the shape of dragons with the insides cut out and filled with Life savers. They melted as it baked and gave them a stained glass look.) Not a single one ever made it safely to the destination.
2. Ship it fast as you can within reasonable pricing, of course. Priority Mail for USPS is just a touch extra in most cases and worth it for shipping baked goods.
3. Ship low moisture items. The more moisture the more likely things will get yucky in shipping without refrigeration (Unless adequate sugar/salt is used in baking, meaning more than usual. That's how a lot of processed foods have such long shelf life along with replacing moisture with oil, which FEELS moist, but isn't.) Cookies usually good, Fudge ships great, chocolates and candies are okay in the winter time.
4. If in the south area, definitely limit your shipping to the winter months if melty stuff is involved. While the fudge I make is fairly stable for year round a lot of things can get rather melty. Really limits shipping a bit of some items. Even the company Swiss Colony limits shipping to the south during the summer months of what items they will ship. I was trying to research how to ship chocolates and the like and a giant company like that decided they just won't do it, heh. I guess that says a lot for the difficulty of it and expense of it for keeping things cool in shipping! Have to look to the people who ship cakes and cheesecakes I suppose.
Anyway, I totally rambled there a good bit, my apologies!
As far as the dice bags go, I have a solid gold, solid yellow (which looks gold-ish) and a solid silver "in stock". I can always order more rings, though, if you want something totally different. I think your food is completely worth it!
And I'll go ahead and note you, now! :)
I tried once before and I am unsure if the fudge actually made it to the person. It costs about $15 to ship (Compared to $5 for in country) and has to go through customs. The person who I shipped to never actually told me if she got it or not though, despite me asking a few times. So I'm unsure if it ever made it... I never got it sent back, heh.
I would be willing to try but I can't make promises it would get there. I read from lots of things (When I was looking into it in the past) that shipping things like that is fairly successful to Canada but occasionally hits snags.
I don't mind trying though if you wish it. Wouldn't want any money for it though maybe just extra work into the art piece would be all. :)
I can't bake for poop, so it'd have to be art that I offer. ^^;;
Actually from you I'd probably want to request one of my other characters anyway. ;)
And yes, I can split flavors no problem. :)
Indeed, Happy to do some Nutella Fudge and Black Walnut for you. :)
Though nothing really specific, something fun involving my character. It can involve your character or others if you wish in it, just nothing beyond a PG rating at the most, I like to keep him innocent seeming! ::coughs and grins:: Even if the innocence is a total lie...
