Mixed Feelings - MLP related

Okay, as most of you know this the Season 3 premire of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic aired this morning. I'll get my thoughts out of the way first and then get into why I'm not as happy as I thought I'd be today.
I thought the episodes were really good. I enjoyed the story, the animation seemed better than ever, and the villian (despite the way he was used) was legitimatly terrifying. They certainly aren't my new favorites by but when all was said and done I was happy with what I saw.
However, I'm noticing the episodes are quite a bit of flak. Now before I get jumped on I do realize this is the internet, where everyone has an opinion and every opinion is valid. I also realize I'm talking about the brony fandom, where a character who appeared for 5 seconds in one episode can be made a fan favorite. I just feel it's come to a point that fans are getting a little too harsh with their criticism. I saw this a bit with the Season 2 finale as well and in both cases I admit the episodes aren't perfect, not by a long shot. I just can't shake the feeling that bronies are starting to turn against the show.
Am I overreacting? Probably. After all I'm the type of paranoid freak who checks the vents on his CPU 20 times a day to make sure air is still flowing. It's just in my nature to always expect the worst from anything. We still have a whole season ahead, a short one admittedly but still 11 more episodes that, based on what we know so far, will continue to build and expand the world and character's we know and love.
Once again I admit the episode had some flaws; the villian was over-hyped, under-developed and not utilized as well as he could have been. The characters sometimes acted a little OOC and the writing hit a few snags (some of the exposition scenes in particular). The climax was also rushed, though I argue it had been built up quite well though the whole second episode, and I do wish they had cut back some of the filler so they could extend the final encounter. However, by the end of it I was entertained. And really that's all I care about.
Don't get me wrong, I love this fandom. I love how fans can take these relatively simple characters and see them in so many different ways. And I especially love how much attention the background characters who barely get any screen time get. I guess all I really want to say is maybe it's time to take a step back and turn our inner critics down at least one notch. Thank you...
...also shut the f&%$ up about gak. :P

Do NOT watch this video XD
Ol'Squeaks think that bronies are goin to review things with a wary eye, but so do all dedicated fandoms.
Fans of the show though stick by it. They can' really directly effect it so they hope fer the best, an besides this was jus the first episode divided in half of an entire season to come.
So don' worry too much about fan craziness.
The show is as it is, fans or no, aye :)
