Five things and a thank you!

Skylanders Giants
How did I get sucked into this? It's addicting to me like Phantasy Star Online, which I played for thousands of hours. I want it to have more customization, rare drops, and levels that are more fun to replay. As it stands, I'm almost "done" with Giants and will be looking forward to whatever the next game is. I've *only* spent about $50 on the toys. Fortunately, my friend bought the games.
Porcupine
Speaking of expenses, how about a $290 vet bill? My dog has tried biting porcupines many times. Each time, I've managed to pull dozens of quills out without much trouble. This time, she really got it good, and it was too much to do without sedation or anesthesia, so off to the vet she went.
Further Confusion
Well, thanks much to
kodachrome and his friends, I've got a room for Further Confusion! Still gotta figure out my luggage details. I'm dragging my paws now but will get it sorted out in time.
Icy roads
The first snow to stick this season happened last night. My Crown Vic is definitely less pleasant to drive in this crud than my previous car, a 1997 Outback wagon with a manual transmission.
Fursuiting
I gotta work on making this happen a bit more often - outside, where the people are, because that's more exciting that just derping around the house in it and also provides better photo ops.
*hugs*
Thanks to anyone taking the time to watch, fave, and comment on anything I do on FA. It's a pleasure for me, and hopefully, I can keep things fun and interesting.

Have a wonderful evening! *BIG HUSKY HUGS*
Poor pup >_<
FC
Jealous....
Icy Roads
You want to know what is a terrible car to drive in the snow? Try a Chevy Impala. Driving back from my trip in our rental car we were sliding all over the place and I completely spun out trying to turn through an intersection in town. FWD is the way to go, especially in this state.
FC - When you get jealous, think of the $500-600 you don't have to spend.
What year Impala? Screw FWD. Gimme an AWD Subaru. <3 Drove the Viv up the snowy dirt road. Traction control was a lifesaver, but it was still having big trouble with stuff a Subaru glides up.
And I have no idea what year car it was. It seemed relatively new, but it also had over 100,000 miles on it which doesn't mean much considering we use this car to drive all over the state on a weekly basis (I put 1,000+ miles on it this past week). Four wheel drive, all wheel drive, either way you need something more than two wheel drive in this snow
Newer Impalas are FWD, unless I'm missing something.
Me too on FWA.
What I'd really like to get is a beater Impreza sport or Outback for snow and town and just use the CV for comfy people hauling and road trips. I could use an extra 7 mpg city (and a clutch)
I'm a master at not being prepared. If I invest in chains, it'll be the day after I get stuck going up a hill.
53/47 is better than I assumed.
I have studded tires. They help. They're in my trunk adding a little more weight over the rear wheels, lol. When the snow starts sticking around for more than a day, I might have them put on.
Wish I could join you at FC, have some extra fun for me!
Get some sand bags for weight, comes in handy if you need to spread some out for traction on ice too. AWD is better to get you going. I'm missing my old Audi, better mpg than the Montero. After messing with my roommates 2002 Outback, ticking and knocking, crappy mpg, with only 130,000 miles, not so impressed with the newer Subies.
I'm sure my 2.5 days at FC will feel like no time at all with all the people I want to meet and suiting I want to do. I'll try hard to have all the extra fun I can!
AWD is better to keep me going, too, when my bumper turns into a snow plow/drift buster after a good snow.
This was her third visit for such things...
I look forward to seeing you at FC, and I promise no icy roads in San Jose...
Through the dullness of short and cold days, FC is quite a beacon off in the distance.
