Also why are American TV adverts so fucking long?! They really stick out like a sore thumb over here when they pop up in our commercial breaks...
As for the ads, why are US ads popping up in UK programming? That seems strange to me.
And I think they are usually so long because we are way over exposed to advertising over here and it just takes longer for an ad to grab a viewers attention. Also that a lot of ads have become like micro shows because they need to entertain viewers as most Americans won't bother with anything if it doesn't entertain them.
That's my thoughts on that :p
