i've been thinking about putting together some sorta lo-fi bitpop EP over my winter break since it's so goddamn long, with like... LSDJ, a toy electric guitar from the thrift store and drums, maybe vocals (but probably not since I can't write lyrics to save my life) and I was gonna drum myself but i'm actually the opposite of a good drummer so yeah! maybe you'd be interested in something like that???

I don't have any decent recording equipment aside from the camera I used in that vid, would I need something better or does that work? (my bass got a little drowned-out in the background music, so it probably sounds better isolated). I could probably get some better audio tech if you need me too, and I've got some lyrics I've been working on myself. If you want to see them, go ahead and let me know or something!

A'ight, I'll see if I can get my bass to sound bass-ier. I just destroyed my 10" tom's head yesterday, though, so I ordered new heads for all of them, bass drum included. I'll probably have those in about a week. I've got some dirty laundry in my bass drum right now (to reduce reverb), but it might sound better unmuffled, so I'll give that a shot, maybe it'll help the sound!
I don't play anything else, and I don't compose, but I've got a friend here on FA who has musical background. He played cello for a while, and was in choir forever, so he might be able to come up with something.
Should I note you for your email then shoot the lyrics your way, or something? I've got them written down right now, but I'll have to transcribe them to a Word doc or a text file or something to that effect.

Or, if the heads aren't here soon enough, I've got another set I can use. All the heads are just fine on it.

7. No, as a matter of fact--recabling some headphones! I've kinda always had a small itch to give circuit bending a try, but the truth of the matter is that I can't find anything cheap enough around where I live to tinker with--and I don't have the motivation or heart to actually buy something online and take it apart.

I got into circuit bending from fixing gear that I break mainly, I find myself as much as a creative person as I am destructive. o3o

You can pick up loads of Yamaha Portasounds at boot sales which always sound awesome and are cheap as chips, not sure if there's many of those where you're at or if there's an American equivalent but there's always a whole plethora of cheap electrical crap to be found. I've been tempted to buy a video cassette recorder for like a couple quid and re-purpose it as a multitrack audio recorder. If not that I'm sure I could reorient the audio r/w heads into a sexy tape delay. c:
