Huzzah! New tablet is here.

And it's good!
So good, in fact, that it's actually hard to get used to right now >_>
See, I can adjust the sensitivity, finally! A tablet that's built for windows 7. It's all sleek and new and the pen design is totally built to NOT have a stupid metal bracket made in cheapistan that will snap off at the first hint of wear. The pen also seems to have an auto-shutoff feature, so after the tip doesn't get any pressure for a while, it turns off - saving on battery.
Anyway! Now that I have the ability to adjust sensitivity, I have to completely rethink the way I use my brushes. Normally, I'd use a brush that was 5-10x the intented size of the stroke I wanted, just so I could get a manageable amount of colour on the tablet. The old tip was also warped like mad and I'd lost the replacement nibs; keeping these ones safe and sound.
The working area itself is smaller (12x9 on my old one, versus 12x7.25" on this one), but the report rate for the pen is much higher. The tablet itself also seems to have better working resolution too. All around, it's better - and I'm gonna probably take a little bit to get used to its better-ness.
That being said! Commissions are all still well underway. It's been a good day! Now, I'm gonna go get back to work.
