Spoiler alert on KFP LoA s02e07 'Enter the Dragon'

I wish I knew if the writers of LoA were communicating with Dreamworks regarding the cannonity of their cartoon show. Enter the Dragon was an epic episode, for sure - and it hinted at so much.
I read elsewhere that Lord Shen was mentioned, but I missed it. If that was the case, then it's a mistake by the writers. Shifting the timeline to after the second movie is such a bad idea, given the plot holes the cartoon generates.
Yet again, we have a mystical power taking pride of place... I hated it in KFP-1 (Tai Lungs death was a cop-out IMO) and I hate it in the series. It just feels like 'cheating'. Arg.
Tigress's actress is no Angelina Jolie... I do wonder if she knows that, or if she's happy with the way her character comes across. The emotional stuff just didn't feel like it was from the heart. Maybe it's a combination of the writing and the acting, each not quite hitting the spot. I found it frustrating, it could have been so much more.
I don't think the more 'plastic' looking models used in the cartoon have the same ability to deal with extreme emotions - I think of Tigress's expression while chained up with the five in the second film, when she thinks Po's dead and Monkey said 'Hardcore - Right Tigress?'. The character model really showed the silent despair, where it just doesn't seem to work as well with the cartoon model.
Naturally, my TixPo hormones went nuts when she hugged him.. but it was over so quickly... *sets up auto repeat on her video player!* XD
Tigress knowing more than anyone about sacrafice... it all seemed so stilted.. like the actors just weren't feeling it. So much potential there, and the lines just weren't delivered like they could have been.
*Sigh* I have to remind myself this is a kids cartoon, my expectations are way too high. Still, is it ok to dream?

I can relate all the way. As for the modeling in LoA. They really scrapped the bottom of the box. Rendering fur? Fairly moderate difficulty. But the models could be better and not even pixar level too. Faces matter alot to me. Thats part of why I love Daigaijins work. And the cheapness of Tai Lungs death. Yea pretty bad. But I will dream with you for a better series.
