My Two Beautiful Baby Girls

*** THE WINNER OF THE FREE ART HAS BEEN PMED. THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR THE INTEREST!! C: **
I had quite the scare today. We had to take our pregnant dog to the ER very early, because she was sick. Then the vets said they had to do an emergency C-section...
It was so stressful, being told the babies might not survive. I spent most of the day sobbing in the vet's office. But, as of 5 PM today, the two babies survived although one is weak. I saw the strong one and she is the most beautiful little thing. I broke down in tears seeing her little face.
I realize this is the kind of thing that gives breeders a bad name-- complications like this.
I know some of you don't agree with the whole thing, but the reason this was such a scare was because this has NEVER happened to us. EVER. We have never lost a puppy, nor had a sick mother dog. I honestly don't know how all this heartbreak found my family, my animals. Our other dog shower friend says that this thing has never happened to her either, and she has been breeding for 30 years plus. I shake with anger knowing it was probably something that the momma dog's official owner did... But, we know nothing as of yet so I won't speak on that topic anymore.
The questions I asked were "Why me?" and "why do such innocent little lives have to be in jeopardy?" We don't really know at this point. However, I realize that most of these things are out of my control...and I have to move on. It could have been worse.
I realized today that I have some of the best friends in the entire world. I'd like to thank all of you for being there for me, as well as in my previous journal. You are all very sweet to me. I will upload pictures of the babies when I am certain of their health. They are very cute and the product of so much stress and tears, they are perfect angels.
It is now thanksgiving break. I will try to work on artwork as I take care of these babies. You guys are patient and awesome, and I love you all.
With hugs,
Fizzy
