alright I dont know what the deal is here, I went to scan an inked comission this morning and the program refuses to work. Its an epson scanner, and it says this when I click on the icon

The instruction at 0x00971591 reference memory at 0x001fc000. the memory could not be written. Click ok to terminate program.

I've tried reinstalling it and switching usb cords... I have no idea whats going on and im too fuckin broke to afford a new scanner right now -_-

I had an Epson scanner and it kept doing the same thing, so I called and they sent me a new one.
Just tell them you have no idea what;s wrong with it.
But I suggest against buying an HP scanner/all-in-one.
I bought mine some time after Christmas and it failed on me a month or so ago, so I had to do the whole troubleshooting bullshit, and then had to race around trying to return it, and finally got a new one as a replacement.
About a month after I got it, it was making my scans show up black, so I troubleshooted and got it working againnn.
All I know how to fix really is just when your scans are coming up black.
I was told to print a black & white copy of a picture, and the scanner lightbulb started working again after that.
TL;DR: Sorry about your problem, idk how to fix it. But if you're getting a new scanner, don't buy from HP.

My friend's scanner stopped working for some odd reason, and it's by HP too.
Daaammmn, I bet they have a not-so-good reputation with the bad quality of their products.
