Okay, so I kid a tad. The big point is that I've always harbored a slight sweet-spot for steampunk, keeping it quiet beside my absolute hunger for cyberpunk. Well, a few happenings ago, that kinda switched around. I thirst for some steampunkery goodness.
A cookie to the man whom can point me in the right direction.
There's a sci-fi/fantasy con in Kansas City that'll help me get my fill, and I'm hoping RCFM or one of the other cons will have a setting that'll allow me to get my fill...
By the by, I found a kick-ass site for making authentic-looking goggles... If you can part with the fifty pounds to pick them up.

Bioshock is somewhat of a gold standard for Steampunk video games right now,
for tabletop RPGs, I recommend "Children of the Sun" by Misguided Games, who shut their doors already. The RPG is out of print, but you can still find copies on Ebay for the core rules. Plus a large number of the races are anthros too! Luparathi (wolves. duh.), Avendera (lion folk), Hu'lenkra (holy shit! Bear vikings!), Thorqua (turtlepeeps), Banfilidae (sentient plants), and so on, and such forth.
Either that, or I want to be able to dress up like a grease-monkey and rattle of a list of parts that'd make any technophile blush. Compression springs and turbo encapacitators have to be used some how, don't they?
Or is there something I should know?
XD Seriously, though, I need to get the garb to dress up as a grease-monkey sometimeish, as well as a respectable clockwork artisan, Lieutenant Bentley Percival Jondd (from Her Majesty's Airship Kestrel), and the rediculously evil Baron Rafael Adelbert von Vogelroth. ^__^
