Public Service Announcement- Artists: stop using .jpg

General
Artists: if you still use .jpg to save your art, you are insulting yourself by degrading the quality of your work after the fact.
PNG is better for: Illustrations, drawings, comics, and text on an image.
JPG is better for: saving screenshots or photos where detail is not necessary, or for uploads on sites where there is a small filesize limit. (below 100kb)
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/13936495/PNGvsJPG.bmp here is a sample from an image saved both in jpg and png.
i could go on for a while about this, but i want to keep it simple and straightforward, much like the convenience of both of these formats.
and remember: on FA, an image above 1280x1280 will be automatically resized and .jpg converted. so remember to either do the image change workaround, or keep it below 1280x1280

I've been a fool using .jpg all the time, looks like. I'm thinking: shall I repost my gallery in .png or just use it from now on?
