Your characters are yours. What happens too em is up too you. I have no trouble with it and cant say much more about it then if you were to decide to get a tongue piercing. Well maybe "cool!" or.. "Whoa!" or... "eeew!"

*Snuzzles* Don't worry, you can always make an AU in which your mistakes didn't happen. That's how I deal with all my rps.

I dislike doing things permanently to my fursona unless I've thought about it - but, as Tris says above, AU is a wonderful thing - I treat many RP's as... non-cannon, possibly AU, enabling me to do many things that would be non-permanent. With ah.. certain people, I have an entire world devoted entirely to things I do with them :)

I tend to look at RPs, writing, art, etc. in the whole AU thing, as others are putting it. At most I'll have an ongoing thing with one person, but it's rare that will spill over into my interactions with others. Same with writing and art: anything there tends to be just one-shot, non permanent things, especially if it's something I definitely wouldn't want permanent, even if it is kinky. >_>

Well, you probably know my view on things but I'll expand on it a bit.

You know i; we been going trough a variety of characters, idea's. Heck, we both are into a rather fun, devious long going RP so to speak. To me, your characters are yours to use in any way you see fit including the morbid and devilish fantasies.

You have drawn so many things. From the odd abstract to the fun TF's, any form of vore to your latest snuff image set. Wen you draw then no matter if there your long running characters or ones that just popped up in your head to fit the picture they are yours and just because the next person to you finds it odd/weird/disturbing/does not understand why you would put them trough those idea's really shouldn't view your art.

This "law" goes for RP's as well. If you want to do something to who your playing then just do so.

If you didn't liked what i did to you in this morning's chat session, would you even went along with it? Nope, you wouldn't. You control who you are and only let go of that control wen you want to and it's fully up to you if the effect of an RP is permanent, one time only or only with that person.

I don't know if it was helpful but i said my mind on it. I'm sick of how other furs/people restrict another just because it doesn't fit there "view" or "state of rightness and good" or whatever lame reason one can say to bring you down.

Given the nature of my character, there is more or less no risk since his "canon" is to be as impermanent as the fantasies he indulges. Its a fun work around, and even leads to some emo moments, "Waaah! Do I even exist?"

At any rate, I can't see how anyone could possibly begrudge you your own authority as the creative force behind your characters.

There's "canon" for my characters, but I just consider that history and something to be held to in case of questions during an RP or, if I'm actually feeling energetic, when writing. But if the flow of the moment leads me in a dark or strange direction (bad mood, enthralled by a more permanent transformation idea someone came up with) I'll run with it. The character reappears later, haranges me for doing something evil/bad/silly to them like that, and life goes on.

If it's not work on a novel or other product for general mass media, why sweat continuity? I can always retcon things later. :)
