Centaurs are great. But, they've got nothing on minotaurs. That's all I have to say.

I think it depends on the 'taur? I am overall pretty neutral about them for the most part - it's not something I hate, but typically not something I'm attracted to.

Though there are the exceptions...

Centaurs are fun. I also like centaurs with deers, unicorns, or any other 4-legged hooved hybrids. You should reconsider animals similar to horses, but with horns :P

I like image of a striped zebra-taur, or a rugged rhino-taur (with horn). Maybe even cross one with an elephant and gain a pair of tusks too.

I've only seen one person on here that has a centaur as main character on here. They're awesome, but I think they would be annoyed if people would ask to ride them like horses. x3

I like centaurs, but this is one of those situations where I prefer the human torso over a furry torso. A furry with four legs and two arms looks like it just has a body that is way too long.

Other horse-like animals work in lieu of horse half, though. Deer, bull, goat. Those would work- But I don't see a lot of other species fitting well. I don't think I've seen a non-horse furry torso on a horse body, though.

Centaurs of all stripes are awesome. Have you ever played any of the Quest for Glory games? There's an honest-to-goodness liontaur civilization in "Fricana" (an anagram of "African"). One of the most important secondary characters in QFGII and QFGIII is Rakeesh, the liontaur paladin. If you get the best ending in QFGII, he gives you his fiery sword. Pretty flippin' awesome, IMO.

Long before I fell in love with the Minotaur, I was so into centaurs and satyrs. There seem to be a lot more act about them, than the minotaur. Still in time the minotaur won out over them, but I still enjoy some great act with centaurs and satyrs in them.
